Monserate Winery Wedding Photos in San Diego

June 5, 2025

A + I’s wedding day at Monserate Winery was one of those days that just felt good from start to finish. The sky kept drifting between sun and clouds, which meant soft, glowy light one minute and moodier vineyard views the next. Tucked into the hills of North County San Diego, the winery felt like a little escape—rows of vines, stone paths, and wide open views in every direction.

A + I are the kind of people who are so sweet and lighthearted that you immediately feel at ease around them. We first met for their engagement session at San Francisco City Hall, and I remember feeling really grateful when they asked me to come down to San Diego to photograph their wedding too. They met years ago while working at Disney, and getting to hear their story and then see all of that history show up in small, intentional moments throughout the day was really special.

They rented a vintage car, wandered the vineyards with parasol umbrellas, tossed labubus instead of a traditional bouquet, and later packed the dance floor with a lively money dance. These photos are all about that mix of ease and intention—the in-between moments with their favorite people, wind moving through her dress, and a celebration that felt joyful, personal, and completely theirs.
